Admit it. Top Ten

Admit it, students are down to the final week before committing to a four-year college.  Last week, Crisp Consulting + Coaching offered a few words of wisdom regarding the final commitment.  This week we would like to offer a top ten list of factors that should not influence your final decision.

  1. The school is really cheap
  2. The school must be great because it is really expensive
  3. I got in there
  4. My mom and/or dad want me to go there
  5. The school was ranked highly in a magazine
  6. The school looks clean and beautiful
  7. Everyone I know is going there
  8. No one I know is going there
  9. My best friend wants to go there
  10. My significant other is going there

Although these reasons may seem important, they are not essential. Remember, whether it is the Ivy League, a large state university or a regional liberal arts college, the best-fitting college will align with three crucial fit factors:

Academic Fit
Financial Fit
Social Fit.

Not considering these critical factors of academic, financial and social fit can compromise your educational experience.

Your acceptances should be celebrated.  Admission officers will appreciate your efforts in making a thoughtful decision.  Crisp Consulting + Coaching offers intentional college admission counseling that  plans from admission to acceptance to ease the frenzy and stress expected in the college application cycle.
